Timeless Tuesday ~ Vintage

Happy Tuesday everyone!!  Back again today for another fabulous "Timeless Tuesday Challenge" from Flourishes!

This week's challenge comes from the lovely,  Amanda Havon!  Amanda is challenging us to...

Timeless Tuesday Challenge
FTTC205
Create a vintage project or card!

Here is my vintage creation for this week's challenge...

Live. Laugh. Love.
Here's how I created this week's card:
  1. Create a A2 card base using 8.5 x 5.5 black cardstock.
  2. Cut a light pink cardstock base from the Flourishes "Color Made Easy" cardstock collection, "Poppy".  Distress edges.
  3. Cut a light brown patterned paper and stamp roses from the Flourishes "A Year In Flowers 2" in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.  Stamp over the roses with white ink and whip away access ink.  Distress panel with script stamp from the "Sweet Nature" stamp collection and clock image from the "Moments in Time" stamp set using Ranger "Tattered Rose" Distress Ink.  Add stitching detail.
  4. Double die cut the central focal shape using the Flourishes Perfectly Pierced "Classic Window" die set from Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock.  Leaving the two dies in place, ink with Ranger "Tattered Rose" Distress Ink and then stamp script stamp from the "Sweet Nature" stamp collection.  Back with black cardstock and die cut the central circle.
  5. Die cut doily from Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock, crumple and add Ranger "Antique Linen" Distress Ink to age.
  6. Die cut a circle of Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock and stamp another rose from the Flourishes "A Year In Flowers 2" in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.  Apply to center of doily.
  7. Stamp the "Live. Laugh. Love." sentiment from the "Tiny Flowers & Tags" stamp collection in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.  Adhere to the back of the charm frame using Glossy Accents.  Fill front panel with Glossy Accents and let dry over night.  Adhere to card.
  8. Add pearls and "Color Made Easy" ribbon from the Rich Brown collection in "Argentina" and adhere all layers together.

Love Multiplies

I was looking for a card challenge today to tinker with my stamps so I went wandering over at Splitcoaststampers and found a great challenge!  It's this week's CAS challenge - it's a sketch!  And who doesn't love a sketch!!!

Click the image to proceed to the challenge post.

So here is the card I created using this week's sketch...

LOVE Multiplies
I started out by embossing my back ground cardstock using this super cute XO's folder by Provo Craft.  Then I die cut a piece of "love" patterned paper from the Carta Bella "Devoted" paper collection and backing it with a die cut scalloped piece.

Then I stamped the "Love Multiplies..." sentiment from the new Flourishes "Just My Type" stamp set on to both white and light pick cardstock (all Flourishes).  I die cut the pink cardstock with a cute Provo Craft valentine themed die and adhered the hearts to the white cardstock stamped sentiment ensuring I had them lined up perfectly.  I backed the sentiment with some medium pink cardstock from the Flourishes "Color Made Easy" cardstock line, "Poppy".

I added some fun strips of My Mind's Eye washi tape and some stitching and voila!!

I also incorporated my card to go along with this week's Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #5: Code Word = HEART.

I hope the person that receives this card likes as much as I do!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Timeless Tuesday ~ Pearls, Circles and Fishtail Flags!

Hello everyone!  It's Tuesday... time for another fabulous Timeless Tuesday Challenge for Flourishes!  My favourite day of the week!

This week's challenge is brought to you by the super talented, Cindy Haffner.  This week Cindy is asking everyone to create a card or project (FTTC204) with the following elements; 4 brads/pearls,  a circle & a fishtail flag.  Super simple!  Here is my card creation using this week's elements...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I began creating my card by cutting some gorgeous patterned papers from our Flourishes 123 Create Kit ~ Love Story.  This kit is packed full of some gorgeous crafty goodness this month!!!!
I took my rectangles of fun paper and matted them using the medium red tone from the "Color Made Easy" Paper Collection, "Poppy".  Then I created our fishtail flag and mounted it on the same beautiful poppy paper.

Next I die cut a circle from Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and stamped the "Roses are red..." lines from the new stamp set, "Roses are Red" stamp set using Memento "Love Letter" ink.  I took some Ranger Distress Ink "Worn Lipstick" and sponged the sentiment circle.  I backed it with a scalloped die cut circle from the same medium red cardstock from the "Color Made Easy" Paper Collection, "Poppy".

Then I stamped the script "Happy Valentine's Day!" greeting from the "Token Of My Affection" stamp set on a fishtail shaped tag.

I added a bright red bow with twine and a fun ornate button, some cool stitching and pearls and my card creation was finished!

Timeless Tuesday: Poppy, Emerald Coast & Rich Browns

Happy Tuesday everyone!  We are well into 2013 and I've had my stampin' groove on for a few weeks so I've been stamping up a storm of cool cards using our newest release stamps; Just My Type, Roses Are Red and Inside & Out; Happy. Our New Release Bundle gives you 10% off the total price if you purchase all of the stamp sets in our newest release.  And have you seen our AMAZING 123 Create Kit, "Love Story" yet!?!  It's divine!!!

This week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge comes to us from the lovely, Broni Holcombe!  And Broni's challenge this week, FTTC203, is for us to use any combination of colors from the Poppy, Emerald Coast and Rich Browns paper collections (seen below).  What a great colour combination to inspire us this week.

So here is my card inspired by Broni's colour combination...

Life is a Journey

I first began with a kraft cardstock base, approximately 5 x 5.5.  Then I took some super cute patterned papers from Bo Bunny that worked perfectly with the Poppy & Emerald Coast colour scheme and matted them using the darkest richest brown from the Color Made Easy "Rich Brown" cardstock collection. I did them same thing with my banner piece of patterned paper.

Then I cut out a brown cardstock "Marvelous Squares" from Spellbinders and used it to create a frame for my sentiment form the new "Just My Type" stamp set, stamped in Memento's "Love Letter" ink on Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock.

I added some finishing touches with some Basque Red seam binding from the Color Made Easy "Poppy" ribbon collection and fun brad.  I also added a few pearls to the corners of the frame.

It's my first first official sketch for Let's Capture These Memories and here is the fabulous layout sketch designed by the site's owner, Isabelle Doucette!

Instead of using the sketch to create a traditional layout, I was asked to create a fun card.

For my card today, I used the Winter Bouquet image from Flourishes. I used the Flourishes SVG Cut File to cut out the cardstock and then stamp my image on the cardstock.  I also used the Flourishes Tailor-Made Die, "" made by Spellbinders and a doily die by Cheery Lynn Designs.

My patterned papers include the dark pink and green gingham from Simple Stories "Fabulous" line.  The light pink paper is from Authentique, the "Lively" collection.

Howdy all!  I'm back aging this week to share the second of 3 fabulous NEW Flourishes stamp sets for our January release!  Here's a little peak at the newest stamp release. This set is called...

This is an amazing stamp set!  Not only is it perfect for your Valentine's Day cards but it could be easily  used to create "love" inspired cards, birthday greetings or lots of other fabulous creations!  Check out my three cards today...

Pink Roses on Scalloped Hearts
For each of my cards I used the fabulous "Devoted" paper collection from Carta Bella.   I began each card by die cutting out my scalloped label shape from Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and stamping my bouquet of roses image within the frame using Memento "Black Tuxedo" ink ~ my favourite ink!!!

Pink Roses on Red

Then I coloured all the stamped images using Copic markers:   RV11 from the Tea Rose Collection, G20, G21 & G24 from the Leaf Green Collection, G40 from the Pistachio Collection, B91 and B93 from the Blue Jean Collection and RV10,  Once coloured, I used some Ranger "Walnut Stain" on a sponge applicator and lightly sponged each image - to add a bit of antiquing.  Then I sponged on some white ink to soften each focal image.

 Pink Roses on Red Hearts

I added a simple piece of twine and a silver heart button to each one for little bit of shine.
