Boo to You my Zombie Friend!

Happy hello to all my fellow stamping friends out there!  Today’s my day to share a sketch and card over at Splitcoaststampers today!  So with Hallowe’en being right around the corner, I thought I’d make a card just for that occasion.

My card today features the “Hallowe’en Lulu” dressed in a zombie costume from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. So cute…

It’s got lots of sparkle and bling…

Over at StampNation, we have one sweet challenge going on!  I used the same stamp set and patterned papers.  Here's a little sneak peek of my card...

Easy Christmas Cards: Episode 1 ~ Merry Everything

Hey everyone!  This year I thought I’d share a few Christmas and holiday cards and how to make them.  Since I love to share, I thought I'd share a few videos over the next couple of months where I make simple cards that you can fabricate easily and replicate easily!  So introducing, the first episode of my Easy Christmas Card Series for 2015.

Even though I’ve lost my voice, I thought I’d make a video showing how I made all four Christmas cards…

Here's a quick look at all four cards.  Each card is slightly different with its colouring but I used all the same Copic Markers to colour them...

I'm also going to add these to the WPlus9 Throw Back Challenge for "Fairisle Backgrounds" this month.  Thanks Maureen!!!

I hope you enjoyed the first episode!  Come back again soon!

Enjoy!

Fox & Kitty Birthday

I just LOVE having time with no pressure to create a card.  I don’t get that kind of time that often so when I do, I create, create… create!

Today I wanted to play with some of my newest stamp purchases from Newton’s Nook Designs called “Fox Hollow”!  I combined it with the “Newton’s Birthday Bash” stamps to create this fun tag and pocket card.

Here’s the tag pulled out to reveal another cute little fox and the full birthday greeting (from the MFT “Birthday Bears”).

I’m creating this card using the Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge #26, a colour challenge.
And also for the Seize the Birthday challenge where you are to make a pocket card.

Thanks for stopping by!

The day is just about here… the day that the newest and “coolestStamp of Approval box comes on sale!  Our newest box, “The Holiday Magic” box, is filled with some amazing stamps, neat dies and some sparkly goodies too!  This new collection does not disappoint people!

Today I’m sharing a really easy card with you…

Here’s a close up of all the sparkle and shine it contains:

It’s very easy to make:
  1. Create a top folding A2 sized card (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”). Round the bottom left corner and the top right hand corner.
  2. Trim a piece of gingham paper to 5 3/8” x 1 1/4”.  Round the bottom left corner.
  3. Trim a piece of gold foiled paper to 5 3/8” x 1/2”. Round the bottom left corner.
  4. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5 3/8” x 3 1/8”. Round the bottom left corner and the top right hand corner.
  5. Using the snowflake dies, cut three snowflakes; one large (purple cardstock), one medium (white cardstock) and one small (gold foiled cardstock).  Add some Versamark ink to the white snowflake and heat emboss it with a clear crystal embossing powder for some shimmer.
  6. Layer all the snowflakes using glue dots and add a “messy nest” of gold string to the back.
  7. Using Versamark ink, stamp the greeting on the white cardstock panel, Add gold embossing powder and heat set.
  8. Adhere the gingham and gold foiled papers to the card base.
  9. Adhere the white panel with the sentiment to the card front using foam adhesive.  Adhere the snowflake cluster.
  10. Add sequins.

30 Day Coloring Challenge: Hello Autumn!

Howdy all!  TGIF!  Today marks the beginning of an early Thanksgiving weekend for us Canadians so I am thrilled to have my son home today (a Friday off school!) and we’re just chillin’ together today.

Today the Bloom Brigade and I are joining Kathy Racoosin, from the Daily Marker, for her inspiring 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  And I have to tell you, I just LOVE to colour!  I can find any excuse, especially not doing my housework, in order to colour at my desk.  My favourite colouring medium is Copic Markers so that’s what I chose to use on my card to share with you today.

For my Autumn inspired card I used the fabulous Power Poppy stamp sets, “Sunny Harvest”, Big Scripts” and “Go Wild” and I had a ball using my Copic Airbrush System and markers to colour it up!

I also gold heat embossed my focal sentiment and added lots of shimmer with my Wink of Stella and Sakura Glaze pens too!

So the CHALLENGE IS... to find a fabulous colouring medium, a fun image to colour and have some FUN!  Colour something up and share it RIGHT HERE to have a chance at not only winning some Power Poppy goodness but other prizes too!  Kathy is challenging us to colour anything so there is no need to share a completed card either... just share what you've coloured!  Don't forget to share it social media... and use the hashtag... #thedailymarker30day3

You can also combine this challenge with a few other fun challenges to win even MORE Power Poppy prizes!  Why not combine it with our monthly challenge, the "Bits & Pieces" challenge OR our awesome World Card Making Day sketch challenge right HERE OR why not create for a cause and play along with the Splitcoaststamper's "Hope You Can Cling To" month long challenge extravaganza! So many opportunities to play... even more chances to win!  Good luck everyone!!!

For more challenge details, please visit HERE!

For my card today, I took the chair and pumpkin image from the “So Grateful” stamp set…
