Shop Catherine Pooler Designs Today!

Hey all! It's a brand new day and Autumn is coming and the kids are headed back to school!  Let's get into our creative spaces with some new and fabulous stamps and dies!

There is lots of Stamp of Approval goodness in there along with Catherine's own personal line of stamps & dies called Catherine Pooler Designs.

Every product that was in the first four SOA Collections is there:
* Friendship
* Holiday Magic (except the Holiday Flourishes stamp set)
* Young at Heart
* Beautiful World

PLUS we have a surprise for you!  Catherine has created an exclusive new die set to go with the beautiful "Wonderful Wreath" stamp set just released in the last SOA collection, the Lovely Notes Collection!  It's designed to fussy cut out the glorious new wreath and all the accompanying shapes in the stamp set.  How awesome is that!?!  So if you already have the Lovely Notes Collection then this die is for you!  And if you don't... no worries!  The contents of the Lovely Notes box will be found in the store very soon!

So I thought I'd show off a few of the dies in that new die set today and share a brand new card using lots more SOA fun...

On my card not only did I feature the brand new "Wonderful Wreath Dies" but I also used Catherine Pooler Designs' "And Dies" and the fun "Bright Baubles" stamp set released in the Holiday Magic Collection made by Neat & Tangled.

A wreath isn't just for the holidays... it's for all year round!  Including birthdays... PLUS it works with all kinds of other stamps too!

For the above card I used the small leaves from the "Eva's Favorite Flowers" stamp set from Winnie & Walter and then used a few other stamp from the set to complete my image.  I also used the corresponding "Eva's Favorite Flowers Dies", the fun birthday sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps' set "Young at Heart" and the sweet birthday dies form the "Birthday Journal Card Dies" from SugarPea Designs.  All of the above stamps and dies will be on sale in the shop!

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE STAMP Of APPROVAL BOX...

Power Poppy: Nature & Nurture Collection Blog Hop

Today’s the day!  The Nature & Nurture Collection from Power Poppy is finally here! This collection consists of three clear stamp sets…

Each of these new clear stamp sets is packed full of detailed, gorgeous images and verb-acious sentiments!  Each one of these stamp collections is now available in the Power Poppy Shop!

For my final card, I wanted so badly to go back and create with the gorgeous new wheat image so I took it and paired it up with the lovely Coneflower also included in this same stamp set.  Doesn’t it just stay “Fall” to you?!?
Derwent Pencils: 0200, 0240, 0300, 0400, 0600, 0700, 1310, 1320, 1400, 1530

I played around with my Derwent Inktense Pencils and some watercolour paper for my card front.  I really wanted the texture of the paper play with my pencils so I only added a small amount of additional texture using an embossed piece of water colour paper to the edge.

Now come and check out what the rest of the Bloom Brigade has been up to using these glorious new stamp sets…

Introducing… Feeling Fall!

Welly, welly, well... what do we have here? It’s three sweet vignettes with pumpkin, maple, and a plucky plaid! Meant to get that fall vibe kickin’ on your craft table, you'll find fun sentiments plus: a stack of decorated pumpkins and a mysterious black cat; a trio of gourds, fall berries, and what has GOT to be a pumpkin spice latte; and stylish plaid wellies perfect for a day of raking the leaves of that gorgeous Maple tree.

I just ADORE the sweet little stack of pumpkins and the darling little black cat peeking from behind them so I chose to highlight them with a full moon back drop!

I used Copics to colour in everything here.  I using a simple white gel pen to add the stars over top of my dark blue sky.

A little shimmery moon never hurt anyone…

Hello all!  It’s Day 2 of our brand new Nature & Nurture Collection debut by Power Poppy.

Introducing… In Praise of Sunflowers

Hot on the heels of the digital release of our Sunshine of My Life bouquet, and paired up with the big splashy stem from Sunflower Power, we have heaps of praise for sunflowers. All new sentiments are included in this new stamp set to mix and match to set the right tone for your cardmaking.

Introducing... Prairie Cheer!

Howdy all!  Welcome to the newest release for Power Poppy!  This week we’ll be releasing the Nature & Nurture Collection!  We have three brand new clear stamp sets to share with you!
Today is Day One and we’re introducing…. Prairie Cheer

A trio of prairie-plucked stems to complement our newest Instant Garden digital release, Pure Prairie Bouquet. This set is all about spreading an easy-going vibe and good feelings; from wheat lazily blowing in the breeze to those prairie populists coneflower and smooth aster, this set offers approachable imagery and sentiments that just plain cheer folks up.

Copics: BV00, BV01, BV04, BV13, R83, Y02, YG01, YG03
Prismacolor Pencils: Chartreuse, Tuscan Red, Mulberry, Olive Green, Violet Blue

I chose to use the no-line colouring technique for my card today.  I first stamped it in Memento “Desert Sand” ink and then coloured it using a variety of Copic Markers and Prismacolor Premier Pencils.  I just love the end result of the blended markers with the sharp details of the coloured pencils!

Now come and check out what the rest of the Bloom Brigade has been up to using this glorious new stamp set…

Yummy Apples in Season!

Howdy my fellow Power Poppy lovers!  It’s been SO long since I've posted here!  I’ve been on a little creative vacation plus also a Scout Summer Camp vacation too!  Sometimes you just need some down time to recharge that creative battery – well, that’s what I’ve been up too!

Today some of the Bloom Brigade and also the Instant Gardners are going to be sharing their newest creations using the super delicious… “Apples in Season” digital stamp set (plus a few other amazing stamp sets)!
This delectable new digital stamp set includes this impressive spray of apples and apple blossoms and a quote from Mother Theresa.

Not only do we have a new digi for you today but we’re also beginning our newest monthly challenge for August, the Power & Spark Challenge. This month’s challenge is all about CASEing!  All you need to do is pick a Power Poppy creation from somewhere in blog land – can be by ANY designer at all and be inspired by it, creating your own spin on the original design. For more information and the rules for this challenge, you can visit the Power Poppy Blog.

What’s CASEing you say?  It’s the acronym for: Copy And Steal Everything!  But in our case, we are calling it the Copy, Steal & Inspire Challenge!

For my card I decided to CASE my fellow Bloom Brigader, Miss Katie Sims!  I just love her vintage style so I chose THIS CARD to Copy, Steal & be Inspired by!

I chose to copy & steal her basic card design and then go from there. Katie used the very masculine “Olive & Oak” digital stamp to feature on her card so I traded it up for our lovely new “Apples in Season” digital image.
Copics used: E81, E37, R02, R12, R46, G00, YG23, YG21, YG17, YG97

For my sentiment, I chose to use pieces from two clear stamp sets; “Simply Camellias” and one of newest releases, “Nice Things to Say”.

I chose to colour in my image completely using Copic Markers unlike Katie who just spotlighted coloured acorns and olives. A little bit of shimmer makes this delightful fruit stand right out…

Now before you go, make sure you check out the rest of my fellow Power Poppy designer’s blogs today for some amazing inspiration!  Have fun…
